Seized Government Cars - Directly From the Auction

How do some people keep one new car after another? Are they rolling in money? Are they millionaires? Not at all! These people I'm talking about are the ones who know the secret (the cheap car secret). These are ordinary people like you and me and your favorite uncle - the difference is that they know about government auctions for seized cars! They understand that buying a brand new car from the dealership is costly, and a real hassle. As soon as you drive away from a dealership, the car loses value; on the other hand, buying an amazing car for cheap, from a government seized car auction can be the way to go if you want to finally get your fantasy car at a price anyone can afford!

As I was saying, the cost of a new, dealership purchased vehicle, along with gas, repairs and taxes, can be hard to take. Sometimes vehicles are seized and auctioned by the government for reasons of evading taxes, or other such laws. The cars are then auctioned to the general public, and even though they may only be a couple of months old, and in excellent condition, the cheap prices are too good to miss! These are great resources to get an expensive car, for cheap!

Government seized car auctions often have a very wide range of vehicles to choose from. People who are "in the know" are usually there before anyone else. Can you imagine getting a car worth tens of thousands of dollars for 90 to 95% off the retail price? Before I went to a government auction, I couldn't believe it, either, but now, I do! Just think: You could get a car which retails for $15,000 for only $1500. A $20,000 vehicle for only $2000 - or less! Often, used car dealers would frequent these auctions and buy cars cheap to resell for profit - but now that you know where to go, you can beat them at their own game: get the car your self and save the money.

Not a lot of people know much about getting cheap cars at government seized auctions. For example, they may not be aware of where it is, or when it happens. But they are happening in many states, through the many months of the year. They secret to being able to bid on the car of your dreams is simple: it's knowing where to go, when to go, and what to do. Whether you just want a great deal on a barely used car for yourself, or to resell one for profit later, head to one of these auctions! Wasting valuable time at a regular dealership is not worth the hassle.

When you go to a government seized car auction, you can not only see the vehicles being auctioned, but physically inspect them, too. Make sure you check the Vehicle Identification Number, as well as the interior and under the hood, ahead of time. If you're satisfied, start bidding, and bid responsibly. Getting a cheap car at auction is an easy, wonderful way to save a lot of money if you know what to do. There are resources online which save you all the leg-work. Check them out today - you could be driving the wheels of your dreams tomorrow.

Don't Buy a Haunted House! Top Five Ways to Tell If a House is Haunted!

Hello and thank you for reading my article,

As a Spirit Hunter/Paranormal Investigator for many years I am able to walk into a house and immediately tell if a house is haunted by second nature.I would like to share the top ten methods I use to know if a house is haunted. I have seen many families and business tortured and tormented by hostile spirits. Although I am usually able to solve the problem after the fact its a lot easier to be able to prevent it before you even make a purchase.

5. Unexplained Noises- Although you may be just taking a tour of the place try your best to find a quiet place and listen carefully. Most of the time you have to be used to the normal noises the house makes in order to really know if its unexplained or not. You can try asking the current homeowner what a noise you heard is, if they can tell you right away with no hesitation odds are its normal.

4. Feeling of being Watched/Touched- The Feeling of being watched is one of the most common feelings you get when spirits are being present. Sometimes it can be very intense. You can also sometimes feel something brush past you or even a poke, push or tug.

3. Strange or Unusual Smells- You can often notice a sudden waft of perfume or cologne that is unexplained. I've also experienced many odd odors such as a pie baking in the oven, or more appalling odors with no explanation. Once again if you don't know the house and its usual smells ask the owner.

2. Cold Flashes- The #1 most common sign of spirits being present is a sudden drop of temperature. Many describe it as a feeling of someone walking through them. Usually you will get the chills and shiver, and also get goosebumps.

1. Ask the Current Owner and research history of the house- Asking the current owner sounds like a no brainer but a lot of times the owner will not want to tell you because of it preventing the sale. You may have to be not so straight forward. Either make it sound like you want a house that is haunted (if you can pull that off haha) or make it sound like a joke. "This place is pretty old where is Casper's room?" If the current Owner is reluctant try your best to do your own research on the house and the land its built on. Can go to your local library and look at the city plans from many years back, and possibly find a previous owner that wouldn't be reluctant about telling you if the place is haunted.

Make Halloween Outdoor Decorations: "Ring of Ghosts" and "Flagpole Spooks"

Here's a favorite tradition of our family in outdoor Halloween decor:

RING OF GHOSTS

Materials: 3 Twin-sized Sheets 3 Four foot lengths of flexible 1/2 inch PVC Piping, Wooden Stakes or Dowels 3 Small White Plastic Garbage Bags Masking Tape Newspaper String or Twist Ties Black Marker (optional)

Instructions: 1. First, determine a good location for your ghost gathering. Find a wide open area, or you may decide to group them around a tree or light pole.

2. To make the ghosts' heads, crumple up newspaper and stuff the three small plastic trash bags to the desired size.

3. Stick one of the PVC pipes into one of the bags and wrap the neck with masking tape to secure. Repeat for the other ghosts.

5. Cover each ghost head with a sheet, gathering with string or a twist tie under each head. The head should be in the middle of the sheet, so the outer edges can be attached to the neighboring ghosts.

You can make taller or shorter ghosts, but you must adjust the size of sheet you use to accommodate. Our ghosts will be just under 4 feet tall.

4. Push the PVC piping into the ground in a circular formation about 1-2 feet apart. The sheets should touch the ground and cover up the support. You can also use wooden stakes or dowels, but your ghosts won't have as much movement as they will with the PVC piping.

6. Finally, knot the ends of the sheets together to give the impression the ghosts are holding hands. Because the PVC is flexible, your ghosts will now bob and sway in the wind!

7. If desired, make Casper-like faces on the sheets with black marker.

I Want to Be a Ghost Hunter, It Would Be a Great Job

Over the past few days I have been watching some television shows featuring self proclaimed 'ghost hunters'. These shows are quite entertaining; there are lots of people that actually believe in ghosts. Let me breakdown a typical show for you, quickly.

   1. OMG! A ghost! AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! *calls ghost hunters*
   2. Ghost hunters researches the situation
   3. Commercial
   4. Random facts about middle of nowhere, Wisconsin
   5. Interview with (typically obese) people who are convinced that their building is haunted
   6. Commercial
   7. Really expensive cameras are carried around by 6 people in matching t-shirts, all night.
   8. 99% of the 'paranormal experiences' are de-bunked using simple logic, and puns.
   9. The remaining 1% is labelled as 'weird', with no conclusive evidence ever documented.
  10. Commercial

That is the entire 30 minute episode.

I believe these shows are around (and will continue to be) for 2 reasons.

Firstly, some people still maintain that ghosts exist. Now, don't get me wrong, I am not under the delusion that paranormal activity is impossible. Although I have never personally experienced anything paranormal per se, I do admit that there are many things about this world that are unexplainable. Then there are ghosts. If you do a little Googling, you will encounter countless 'true stories' about ghosts, accompanied by numerous pictures, sound recordings and even video. Aren't they cool? Do they not entice you to travel all the way to these places to pay $10 for the privilege of a firsthand look? Don't you want all of the books and DVDs for sale? Just what I thought, you don't. If you are anything like me, (since I am 1 in a million, there are roughly 7000 of you) then you can clearly see the profit driven motives of 'ghost sightings'. Furthermore, PHOTOSHOP, enough said.

Secondly, and more importantly, these shows exist so that 'Ghost Hunters' can have a job. I do not even know where to start with these people. They are not nearly as awesome as Ghost Busters, but they are more credible than 'mediums'. They seem to have a fairly balanced and clear headed approach to the act of ghost hunting. They use really expensive looking equipment (see step 7 and 8 ) and walk around all night hoping to find something. This laudable endeavour features such 'paranormal' activity as: flickering lights, creaky 100 year old houses, sounds from 'nowhere', strange smells in haunted bathrooms and the occasional truly weird thing. I am always skeptical about the one weird thing that happens almost without fail every single episode. Regardless of what the event is, I always wonder if there is even a remote possibility that the owner (promoter) of the given property set up something to appear paranormal? Or is every single of these houses actually haunted? If so, why would there never be any conclusive evidence? These are all questions that I pose to the entire and all of the Internets.

These paranormal encounters being 'legitimized' by the television shows and website etc. is most definitely a mutually beneficial relationship between the proprietor of the haunted house and the ratings hungry network that hosts the shows.

Nevertheless, I yearn to be a ghost hunter. Why is that you may ask? Well, if you watch the show Ghost Hunters, you will see that these people have a docile, yet eminently entertaining career. All they do all day is collect 'information' about haunted places, then go and mock the people that work there. Then they get to walk around and try to convince the ghosts to appear, or to communicate with them. If you have ever watched the show, you will know that this is never to any avail. Ever. Since I have a constant yearning to mock others, I figure that ghost hunting would be a perfect job for me.

Unfortunately, I can never pursue this career, due to a traumatic experience I had as a youth involving Casper. They told me he was friendly.

Learn The Trick To Teaching Your Ferret Tricks

"But daddy, I want a ferret". My daughter has a lovely personality and is not one to complain or nag, yet over the course of several days; she continued, "daddy, I want a ferret". I never really had a choice as she looked at me with those baby blues; we were headed to the pet store to buy a baby ferret (called a kit).

For the most part I'm a dog person, having had many "man's best friends" during the course of my life, loving each one deeply. As we walked into the pet store I was thinking... "This could never be true with a ferret". I was wrong and my daughter grew to love "Casper", the name she chose for her white albino ferret, and he became part of our family.

What amazed me over time was their intelligence and personality, and of course boundless energy and curiosity. Ferrets, just like dogs, can be taught tricks; it simply takes time and patience. Casper has learned to come when we squeak a certain toy, but I've heard many ferrets can learn to...

Sit up

Turn around

Roll over

Sit on your shoulder

And even walk on a leash (that one I'd like to see).

The difference between dogs and ferrets, we discovered after much frustration was getting and maintaining their attention. Most pets have short attention spans, but ferrets always have a sense of urgency... "I have to explore... I have to explore". Knowing that, NEVER attempt teaching your ferret tricks in an unexplored area, you'll be banging your head in frustration.

FERRET FACT: Ferrets have highly developed hearing, especially in determining the direction and distance of a particular sound. The area between their ears and brain sends more information than the human equivalent.

While not exactly a trick, teaching your ferret to come on command, is important and should they get lost, crucial to their survival. It's not difficult; just takes time and experimentation. Find, buy or borrow fun objects like squeaky toys, finding ones that create different noises. As you spend time with your ferret friend, squeeze one particular toy, wait awhile, then squeeze another. Eventually you'll find one that peaks their interest. Once this is determined, half the battle is over.

Next, whenever you call his name.... "Casper" (in our instance), squeak the toy several times till he comes (if that doesn't work, back to the drawing board). Gradually, (if desired) you can stop using your ferret's name, simply squeezing the toy (making the noise) till they prance into the room. IMPORTANT: Be certain to give them a reward when they fulfill a task. Unlike dogs, ferrets don't perform simply for your enjoyment.

The key to teaching your ferret any trick is patience and consistency. Training a baby ferret (called a kit) is probably an impracticable task; they are brimming with energy and their attention span very limited. Still, begin early and continue, never giving into your own frustration and always rewarding good behavior with a treat. Do this with diligence and patience and no matter which ferret trick you've chosen, it will be within reach.

Residual Effect of BP Oil Spill on Gulf Real Estate

If you're wondering whether the BP Oil spill crisis would have a lingering impact on the U.S. economy and the real estate market, now is a good time to get the facts strait. Billions of dollars in house value declines are at stake.

When you think of traditional gulf states such as Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama, one doesn't need to travel too many years into the past to appreciate their struggles.  Here's a small sample of suffering experienced along the gulf during the last century:

1) Great Mississippi Flood (1927): Simply put, this was the most destructive river-based flood in the history of the United States.  At least 10 states were directly affected, with more than 14% of total Arkansas land swamped by flood waters.

2) Hurricane Katrina (2005): The unprecedented storm of the century brought the entire gulf region to its knees.  Billions of dollars were lost in property value, some of which was unpreventable while a large percentage of the destruction (i.e. New Orleans) could have been prevented with a modernized levy flood control system.

3) BP Oil Spill in the Gulf (2010): The Deepwater Horizon oil spill is the single largest marine-based spill in the history of petroleum.  Approximately 5 million barrels of crude oil were dumped into the waters only a few miles from the gulf shoreline.

4) Ongoing Storms, Tornados, and Floods (2010): As terrifying as it is to consider, FEMA indicates 2 related disasters have occurred during 2010 just in the state of Mississippi alone.  Records show this vulnerable section of the gulf is victim to FEMA-authorized major disasters on an almost yearly basis.  Alabama ranks 7th on the total number of FEMA disasters, while Florida is 4th and Texas is 2nd.  Comparing this to Wyoming, with only 8 disasters reported in its state history (and 51st on the list), gives you some perspective on the vulnerability of the gulf to natural calamities.

Taking into consideration the history of natural and man-made disasters along the gulf shore during the last century, it isn't hard to imagine what kind of impact such facts have on the real estate market.  As a profession, traditional realtors have been replaced by short sale investors looking to quickly flip existing homes for sale, just as they did during the Hurricane Katrina aftermath.  In fact, it's easier to find a Realtor seeking their piece of the BP financial reimbursement pie than one raking in hefty home sale commissions.
